Animali Vogel- en dierenpark, Bird and animal park in Eindhoven, Netherlands
Animali Vogel- en dierenpark was a zoo in Eindhoven featuring separate enclosures for birds and animals. Visitors could observe cockatoos, ostriches, emus, monkeys, and kangaroos throughout the grounds.
The zoo was established in 1951 when its founder relocated his bird and animal trading business from Tilburg to Eindhoven. It became a local destination for animal experiences in the region before eventually closing.
During the 1950s, the park offered organized turtle races for children, where winners received their racing turtles as take-home prizes.
The park operated seasonally from April through October, making it best suited for warm-weather visits. Planning a trip during these months ensured the best experience, as the animals were most active and conditions were favorable.
A wooden bridge at the entrance led visitors to a restaurant with a terrace overlooking swans in the adjacent water. This quiet spot offered a peaceful place to rest while watching the birds.
