Leenderheide, Nature reserve near Eindhoven, Netherlands
Leenderheide is a nature reserve combining heathland, pine forests, and open grasslands situated between major motorways in North Brabant. The area covers several hundred hectares and presents a mosaic of different habitats and natural features.

The parking area at Hut van Mie Pils serves as a convenient starting point for exploring the reserve with multiple marked trails available. Wear appropriate footwear since ground conditions vary by season and some paths remain unpaved.
The reserve features specialized wildlife passages called ecoducts that allow animals to safely cross between different sections over the major highways. This infrastructure demonstrates innovative solutions combining nature protection with modern road infrastructure.
