Tinuy-an Falls, Multi-tiered waterfall in Bislig, Philippines
Tinuy-an Falls is a three-tiered waterfall near Bislig where water plunges over limestone ledges in successive stages. The white curtains of falling water create a dramatic display as they descend through the different levels.
The falls received their name from the Manobo people, an indigenous group with deep roots in this region. Local communities have recognized this location as a significant natural landmark for generations.
The Manobo Tribal Council maintains this natural formation in partnership with the Bislig tourism office to preserve local traditions and environmental heritage.
You can reach the falls from Bislig City by taking a bamboo raft ride that brings you close to the cascades. Wear water-resistant clothing and watch your footing carefully, as the walkways near the water can be slippery.
Between 9 and 11 in the morning, sunlight hitting the water spray creates rainbows across all three tiers of the falls. This rainbow display happens consistently during these hours, making it a special sight for early visitors.
