Previously known as Green Valley waterfalls, the name Epol stands for Everlasting Power of Love Waterfalls, reflecting its local heritage.
The Matigsalug tribe manages the falls in Baganihan, maintaining the natural environment and collecting entrance fees from visitors.
Visitors can reach the falls through a 30-minute forest trail from the highway, located 80 kilometers from downtown Davao City.
The falls sit at an elevation of 4,000 feet above sea level, creating a naturally cold environment with temperatures lower than surrounding areas.
