Fortune Island, Coastal island in Nasugbu, Philippines.
Fortune Island is a 27-hectare island off the coast of Nasugbu featuring white sand beaches, cliffs, and clear waters. The land is characterized by Greek-style architecture and lies along the western coast of Batangas province.
The island was developed into a beach resort by Jose Antonio Leviste starting in 1995. This transformation made it become a popular beach destination in the region from that point forward.
The island displays Greek-inspired architectural elements with columns and statues positioned on elevated spots, showing past dreams of Mediterranean style. These features shape how the place looks today and give it a distinct visual character.
The island is reached by a boat ride of about 30 minutes from Nasugbu. Access is straightforward and direct from the mainland, making a visit easy to arrange.
The waters around the island hold multiple shipwrecks, including the Spanish galleon San Diego from 1600. These submerged remains tell of a complex past in the region's waters.
