Mount Marami, Cliff formation in Nasugbu, Philippines.
Mount Marami is a cliff formation in Nasugbu featuring multiple rocky pillars and stone columns across its southern section within the Mounts Palay-Palay Protected Landscape. The peak rises approximately 633 meters above sea level.
Local inhabitants originally called the rock pillars Nagbuo, but mountain climbers renamed the formation Marami, referring to the numerous stone columns. This name change shows how the site evolved in regional awareness over time.
The summit features Silyang Bato, a natural stone chair formation where visitors gather to take in the mountain ranges and coastline of Cavite. This distinctive spot has become a focal point for those who reach the top.
The climb starts at the Barangay Ramirez hall in Magallanes, where guides are assigned to accompany visitors on the three to four hour hike using established trails. Sturdy footwear is essential due to steep and rocky terrain.
A five-person expedition team mapped a complete trail system in 2014 connecting Mount Marami to Palay-Palay across the protected landscape. This network made travel between the two peaks fully accessible.
