Nuestra Señora del Buen Suceso de Parañaque

Nuestra Señora del Buen Suceso is a wooden sculpture of Mary holding the Christ Child located within St. Andrew's Cathedral. The artwork shows Spanish colonial religious design mixed with Filipino craftsmanship, featuring carved details and traditional paint work typical of that period.

Spanish Augustinian missionaries brought this statue to the Philippines in 1625 as part of their religious mission. The image was later formally installed at St. Andrew's church, becoming an important part of the local Catholic heritage.

The statue represents a protective Madonna figure that holds deep meaning for local Catholics who come here to pray and seek help. Believers traditionally light candles and leave offerings as acts of devotion and gratitude.
