People's Park

People's Park is a public park in central Davao City featuring gardens, walking paths, and open spaces for recreational activities. The grounds span 4 hectares, offering visitors different areas to explore and spend time.

The park came from the transformation of the former PTA Grounds in 2007 through a major development project. This conversion turned a local site into an important public space for the city.

The park displays sculptures by Mindanao artist Kublai Millan depicting indigenous people, creating a connection to regional artistic traditions. You can encounter these works throughout your walk and learn more about the local art scene.

The park is open daily with morning hours starting at 5:30 and evening hours extending until midnight. It is helpful to arrive earlier if you want to avoid crowds or prefer the quieter morning time.

A notable feature is the Durian Dome, a visitor center shaped like the durian fruit. Inside, you'll find a collection of different bamboo species that shows the local plant diversity.
