PAGASA Planetarium, Educational planetarium in Quezon City, Philippines.
PAGASA Planetarium is an astronomical facility in Quezon City with a domed theater that accommodates about 100 visitors using specialized projection equipment to display celestial objects and cosmic events. The space is designed so visitors experience the night sky and its phenomena as if watching from outdoors.
It was established in 1977 by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration to advance space education in the country. Since its founding, the facility has grown into a significant venue for sharing astronomical knowledge with the Philippine public.
The facility serves as a key center for astronomy education in the Philippines, drawing regular groups of students and visitors interested in space science. It plays an important role in providing communities across the region with access to astronomical programs and learning opportunities.
The location sits along Agham Road within the PAGASA Science Garden, making it easy for visitors to find and access. It helps to check ahead about current programs to plan your visit at the best time for your interests.
Since 1999, the facility has operated a mobile planetarium that travels to remote areas, bringing astronomical knowledge to people who otherwise would have no access. Each mobile show reaches smaller groups of about 50 people, extending education to less accessible communities.
