Quezon Memorial Circle, National park and shrine in Quezon City, Philippines.
Quezon Memorial Circle is a park in Quezon City, Philippines, with a central mausoleum featuring three upright pylons. It covers roughly 27 hectares and includes lawns, shaded paths and a central paved plaza around the monument.
The grounds were planned in the 1930s for the new National Capitol, but the Second World War shifted that intention. Later it was repurposed as a memorial for President Manuel L. Quezon.
The name honors the first Commonwealth president and his vision for the nation. Families come here on weekends to jog, play sports and walk under shade trees.
The grounds open early in the morning and close in the evening, giving visitors plenty of time for a walk around. Underground passages link the park to the surrounding Elliptical Road and make access easier.
A museum inside displays exhibits on political career and struggle for independence. Every evening water features with light illuminate the base of the tower and draw spectators.
