Cansaga Bay Bridge, Road bridge in Mandaue City, Philippines
Cansaga Bay Bridge is a road bridge that connects Mandaue City with Consolacion across a bay in Cebu. The structure carries four traffic lanes and provides a direct passage between the two municipalities on opposite shores.
Construction began in late 2008 and was completed in early 2010, following more than a year of building work. The project arose to meet increasing traffic demands between the two shore communities.
The bridge represents a major infrastructure development during President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo's administration, featured in her 2008 State of the Nation Address.
The bridge offers a faster route for traffic moving between Mandaue and towns to the north, making it useful for through traffic. Access is straightforward from both sides, and the wide roadway helps maintain steady traffic flow.
The structure consists of three sections: a 640-meter main span and two approaches measuring 428 meters and 181 meters respectively.
