Kirthar National Park, National park in Jamshoro District, Pakistan.
Located in the Kirthar Mountains, the park extends over 3,087 square kilometers of varied terrain containing rocky slopes and forest patches.
Pakistan designated this protected area in 1974, making it the first national park in the country to join the United Nations list in 1975.
The territory contains architectural remains from the 18th century, including the extensive Rani Kot Fort and Chaukhandi-style tombs at Taung.
The park requires advance arrangements for visits due to limited facilities, and local guides assist with wildlife observation and hiking activities.
The park protects 33 mammal species, including leopards, striped hyenas, and the Sindh ibex, along with 147 bird species and numerous reptiles.
