Nishtar Park, Public park in Soldier Bazar, Karachi, Pakistan
Nishtar Park encompasses 450 acres within Jamshed Town, featuring basic landscaping and walking paths for recreational activities in an urban setting.
The park was renamed in 1965 from Patel Park to honor Sardar Abdur Rab Nishtar, a leader of the Pakistan Movement.
The grounds serve as the main gathering location for Shia Muslims during Muharram, with religious scholars addressing large assemblies throughout the month.
The walking route stretches 1.3 miles with an elevation gain of 52.5 feet, allowing visitors to complete approximately 3,000 steps per circuit.
On April 11, 2006, the park experienced a devastating bombing that resulted in 50 fatalities and over 100 injuries during a public gathering.
