Construction of the bridge began in 2001 under architect Witold Gawłowski. It was opened to traffic on December 8 of that year.
This steel structure represents the evolution of Kraków's infrastructure, connecting the industrial heritage of Zabłocie with the residential area of Grzegórzki.
The bridge is open to traffic daily with four lanes for vehicles and safe pathways for walkers. It is easy to access on foot and offers clear views toward the river.
The bridge features a remarkable single-span steel design that extends across the entire river width without intermediate supports. This engineering approach makes it stand out among regional crossings.
