Lesko County is an administrative district in Subcarpathian Voivodeship spread across the southeastern region of Poland. It contains several small municipalities with Lesko serving as the main administrative center and reaches toward the Slovak border.
This border region has a long history as a settlement area and played an important role in cultural exchange between different peoples. The current administrative form of the district was established in 2002.
The area displays buildings from different religious traditions that reflect its mixed past. Visitors can find old churches and synagogues that show how different communities lived together here across the centuries.
