InterContinental Warsaw, Five-star hotel building in central Warsaw, Poland
The InterContinental Warsaw is a hotel building standing 164 meters tall with a distinctive greenish exterior and angular design that draws attention from across the city. Inside, guests find 414 rooms spread across 45 floors, supported by 10 elevators, 13 conference rooms, a ballroom, two restaurants, and underground parking that holds 175 vehicles.
Construction started in March 2001 under architect Tadeusz Spychała's direction, replacing the former Akwarium jazz club site. The building opened in November 2003, bringing a modern landmark to central Warsaw.
The hotel's Platter by Karol Okrasa restaurant brings Polish regional cooking to the table, letting visitors taste dishes rooted in local tradition. The wine collection of more than 100 selections reflects the care taken to create an authentic dining experience for guests.
The building sits in the city center and is easy to reach on foot, with public transit options nearby and parking available on-site for those arriving by car. The abundance of elevators means reaching the upper floors happens quickly without long waits.
Floors 43 and 44 hold one of Europe's highest indoor swimming pools, offering views across the entire Warsaw skyline. This combination of swimming and panoramic sightseeing from above is something few hotels in the region can match.
