Wenecja

Wenecja is a village in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian region situated between several lakes including Biskupinskie and Weneckie. The area contains a narrow-gauge railway museum that displays preserved locomotives and related transportation heritage.

The settlement was founded in the 14th century when a returning scholar from Italy renamed it and built a defensive castle. This early medieval establishment shaped the area's trajectory for centuries to come.
