Rzeczka, Mountain village in Lower Silesian Voivodeship, Poland
Rzeczka is a mountain village in Lower Silesian Voivodeship that spreads through the Walimka Valley. The settlement sits at elevations between 590 and 751 meters and is surrounded by forested hills.
The village was originally known as Dorfbach and Schlesisch Falkenberg before coming under Polish administration after World War II. This renaming marked the region's transition from German to Polish rule.
The local church dates from 1796 and was originally built as an evangelical temple. Today it serves as a Catholic chapel dedicated to Saint Maximilian Kolbe.
The village is connected to nearby towns Walim and Nowa Ruda by road. Visitors can easily reach regional attractions and other nearby destinations from here.
In the 1970s, Rzeczka introduced skiing to Poland by installing the country's first snow-making equipment. This facility from Świdnica made the place an early center of winter sports in the country.
