Halicz, Mountain summit in Bieszczady National Park, Poland
The Halicz peak rises to 1,333 meters in elevation, making it the third highest mountain in the Bieszczady range of southern Poland.
Before World War II, the mountain slopes of Halicz, then known as Patryja, supported substantial cattle grazing with nearly 2,000 oxen recorded in 1913.
The mountain forms part of the European long-distance path E8, connecting hikers to a network of 315 peaks across multiple national borders.
The red-marked trail from Wołosate through Przełęcz Bukowska to the summit requires a three-hour ascent with an elevation gain of 650 meters.
Halicz offers direct views toward the Ukrainian Carpathians from its summit position, with visibility extending across international boundaries on clear days.
