Uzh National Nature Park

The park spans 39,159 hectares of mountain terrain, featuring primeval beech forests, green alder communities, and sub-alpine meadows along the Ukrainian-Polish-Slovak border.

Military cemeteries and fortifications from both World Wars remain within the park boundaries, including remnants of the strategic Arpad defense line.

The park region preserves traditional wooden churches from the 17th and 18th centuries, reflecting the architectural heritage of the local Lemko ethnic group.

Visitors can explore 140 kilometers of eco-routes through the park, engaging in activities such as trekking, birdwatching, and camping throughout the seasons.

The park contains the landing site of the Princess meteorite, Europe's largest discovered meteorite, which fell in 1866 near thousand-year-old oak trees.
