Bukowiec, Hill peak in West Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland
Bukowiec is a hill peak in West Pomeranian Voivodeship that rises to 148 meters above sea level. The summit features a flat, broad surface that is crossed by the Kolowska Road running directly through it.
The hill once featured an observation tower built in the early 20th century for forest fire monitoring. This historical structure has since been replaced by a contemporary steel tower.
The surrounding Beech Forest Park contains numerous hiking paths, including the Oder Trail and Mountain Trail, connecting various natural landmarks in the region.
Multiple marked hiking trails meet at the summit and provide access to nearby peaks and valleys. The routes offer different difficulty levels to suit both beginner and experienced hikers.
The northern slope drops sharply toward the Zielawa valley, while the southern slope descends into the Zieba and Wilkowisko valleys. These contrasting steep faces create varied views for hikers depending on their approach direction.
