Bukowina Obidowska, Mountain summit in Gorce range, Poland
Located at 1,040 meters above sea level, Bukowina Obidowska features steep slopes descending into the Lepietnica valley and Czarnego Dunajca valley.
A wooden measurement tower once stood at the peak, and researchers discovered an ancient boundary stone beneath its stone foundation.
The mountain's name originates from 'buk', meaning beech in Polish, reflecting the local forest composition prevalent throughout the region.
Several marked hiking trails intersect near the summit, with the main route from Klikuszowa spanning 8.6 kilometers and requiring 2 hours 15 minutes.
The mountain slopes contain rare plant species, including Issler's Forking, documented in only a few locations across Poland.
