Biały Jar

Biały Jar is a mountain ravine near Karpacz that cuts deeply between steep slopes covered in forest. The depression follows a natural valley floor and contains several marked pathways for visitors to explore the rocky terrain.

The area began as a winter sports destination in the early 1900s, when skiing became popular in the mountains. This early development established the foundation for recreational activities that continue in the ravine today.

The area incorporates traditional Polish mountain architecture and designs, reflecting the regional heritage of Lower Silesia through its structures.

Visit during warmer months when the paths are clear and easier to navigate through the forest. Wear sturdy footwear because the slopes are steep and the ground can be slippery in places.

The ravine features an alpine coaster and a mountain bike track that operate throughout the year, combining natural terrain with sports infrastructure.
