Fotel Jaracza

Fotel Jaracza is a bronze sculpture on Piotrkowska Street depicting Stefan Jaracz seated in a theater chair, holding a director's script. The installation invites visitors to sit beside the figure and share this moment of creative focus.

The sculpture was unveiled on June 10, 2006, next to the building at 152 Piotrkowska Street as part of an initiative honoring major figures from Łódź. The work resulted from collaboration between designer Marcel Szytenchelm and bronze casters Jerzy and Robert Sobociński from Poznań.

This memorial honors Stefan Jaracz, a key figure in Polish theater who spent much of his career shaping the city's artistic scene. The seated figure represents his role as a creative mentor and director who influenced generations of performers.

The memorial sits near the sidewalk on Piotrkowska and is easily accessible as part of the busy street. Visitors can stop by at any time to interact with the sculpture without needing tickets or reservations.
