Nature reserve Las Mariański

Nature reserve Las Mariański is a forest area in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie region marked by steep hillsides and deep ravines carved by the Vistula River valley. The terrain creates varied woodland habitats throughout the protected zone.

The area was known as Marie's Park during the 19th century and was linked to the Alvensleben family estate. Official protection as a nature reserve came in 1958.

The reserve maintains educational programs about forest conservation, connecting local communities with their natural heritage through guided walks and seasonal events.

The reserve can be explored on foot using marked trails that link various protected areas throughout the Chełmno region. The terrain is accessible to walkers of different abilities along these well-maintained paths.

A natural mineral spring located in this area was displayed at international exhibitions from 1894 to 1927. The water from this source gained recognition for its qualities during that period.
