The red clinker brick church features a tall square tower with a hexagonal spire and reinforced buttresses along its three-nave basilica structure.
Built between 1877 and 1879 for the German Evangelical community, the church transformed into a Catholic parish after World War II in 1985.
The church reflects the changing demographics of Bydgoszcz, transitioning from a German Protestant to a Polish Catholic place of worship over time.
Located at General Władysława Sikorskiego 9 street, the church maintains regular services and remains open for both religious ceremonies and visitors.
The building narrowly escaped demolition in the late 1970s and served as a granary during its period of disuse after 1945.
