Schronisko PTTK na Luboniu Wielkim, Mountain hut in Beskid Wyspowy, Poland.
Schronisko PTTK na Luboniu Wielkim is a wooden mountain hut perched at 1,022 meters (3,354 feet) on the Luboń Wielki peak in the Beskid Wyspowy range. The building has 25 sleeping spaces, a buffet service, and a common room, with views extending across the surrounding mountains toward the Tatras.
The shelter was established in 1931 through efforts of the Rabka branch of the Tatra Society. Construction received funding from public works programs and community resources.
The shelter keeps alive Polish mountain hospitality traditions and serves regional food to hikers passing through. It functions as part of a national network of mountain lodges that locals and visitors use as stopping points.
The shelter is reached by marked hiking trails from several nearby valleys, with paths of varying difficulty. Visitors should prepare for changing mountain weather and bring sturdy footwear and layered clothing.
The building features a special room with windows on all four sides that allows panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. This observation room is rarely found in shelters throughout the region and becomes a favorite spot for visitors.
