Staw Antoninek, Recreational pond in Antoninek district, Poznan, Poland
Staw Antoninek is a recreational pond in the Antoninek district of Poznan, situated within a chain of four water bodies between two larger lakes. The site offers walking paths and rest areas where visitors can enjoy the waterside and observe the local water environment.
The pond was created in the 1980s as part of efforts to address water quality in the Cybina River system. Restoration work has focused on improving conditions and maintaining the water body's connection to the larger reservoir network.
The local community association Stowarzyszenie Milosnikow Doliny Cybiny manages the pond, organizing environmental protection initiatives and educational programs throughout the year.
The site is easy to reach on foot with well-maintained paths and benches throughout the area. Comfortable walking shoes work best on the various trail surfaces around the water.
The pond underwent extensive rehabilitation in 2003, involving complete vegetation removal and bottom cleaning to improve water quality flowing toward Lake Malta.
