Trzy Gracje monument in Bydgoszcz

The Trzy Gracje monument displays three bronze female figures standing together to represent mythological goddesses. The sculpture sits on Stary Port Street directly along the Brda riverbank, framed by historic grain warehouses and Lloyd's Palace.

The monument was unveiled in 1989 during the modernization of the Brda riverbanks, created by sculptor Jerzy Buczkowski. Its establishment marked part of a larger urban revival of the waterfront area following major political shifts.

The three female figures represent Greek goddesses embodying beauty and grace in classical mythology. Visitors often pause here to observe how the sculptor interpreted these ancient concepts through bronze forms.

The monument sits along a publicly accessible riverside path that is easy to reach and visible from the street. Visitors should note that the waterside area can become slippery during rain or high water levels.

The figures are arranged in an unusually intimate pose, nearly touching one another and seeming to create a connection between past and present. This was a deliberate design choice to express a sense of togetherness during a time of change.
