Eljazz, Art museum in Bydgoszcz, Poland.
Eljazz is an underground art museum in Bydgoszcz with dedicated spaces for concerts, gallery exhibitions, and a recording studio. The venue occupies roughly 200 square meters and hosts regular music performances and artistic presentations.
The venue started in 1991 as an artists' club called Świetlica Artystyczna Trytony with a different focus. In 1995 it was renamed and reopened as a jazz-focused space under the leadership of a jazz musician.
The name comes from jazz musician Józef Eliasz, and the place serves as a meeting point for artists and listeners in the local music scene. Visitors come to experience live jazz performances and connect with the city's active music community.
The museum is located underground, so be prepared for stairs and allow time to find the entrance. Visitors should plan to come in the evening when performances take place and all spaces are active.
The venue maintains its own jazz orchestra that performs regularly and works with musicians from Poland and abroad. This in-house band creates a steady musical presence that sets the place apart from other performance venues.
