The 30-meter metal cross stands prominently on Brusznia Hill, marking a significant location in the Holy Cross Mountains region of Poland.
The site gained importance during the January Uprising of 1863 when Polish insurgents gathered there before planning an attack on Russian forces in Kielce.
The cross serves as a gathering point for scout ceremonies and commemorative events, continuing a tradition that started with the first wooden cross in 1917.
Visitors can reach the cross by following the red tourist trail connecting Chęciny to Kielce, with the site offering views of the surrounding landscape.
Over the past century, six different crosses have stood at this location, each replaced due to weather damage or structural issues until the current metal structure was built in 2017.
