Grabina, Mountain summit in Kielce region, Poland
The Grabina summit reaches 304 meters above sea level and features exposed Devonian limestone formations throughout its slopes and quarry sections.
Mining operations at Grabina included the Barbara shaft, which extended 118 meters deep and represented the deepest lead ore mine in the Holy Cross Mountains.
The summit area contains multiple geological sites that showcase the region's rich mining heritage and natural limestone formations from the Devonian period.
Visitors can access the summit through marked hiking trails, offering opportunities to explore both the natural landscape and former mining installations.
The summit contains fossils of marine creatures including sponges, corals, and brachiopods that existed in a tropical sea 380 million years ago.
