Kazimierz Wielki bridge, Steel bridge in Bydgoszcz, Poland

The Kazimierz Wielki Bridge spans 245.8 meters across the Brda River with five distinct sections connecting the districts of Bartodzieje and Kapuściska.

The bridge construction began in the early 2000s as part of the municipal development plan to address increasing transportation demands in Bydgoszcz.

The bridge name honors King Casimir III of Poland, who strengthened the Polish state through administrative and economic reforms in the 14th century.

The structure accommodates both vehicle traffic and pedestrian access, with dedicated lanes and sidewalks connecting the eastern and western parts of Bydgoszcz.

The bridge features an advanced drainage system that collects rainwater through cast iron drains and directs it to collectors beneath the deck.
