The construction of the brick Gothic structure began in 1490, replacing an earlier wooden church from 1325, and reached completion in 1510 under local craftsmen.
The church interior contains medieval architectural elements including a net vault in the chancel, decorated side aisles, and a Gothic baptismal font from 1459.
The church maintains regular opening hours for visitors, with guided tours available to explore its architectural features and historical artifacts throughout the year.
The attached belfry from the late 15th century served both as a bell tower and a watchtower, integrating religious and defensive functions for the community.
