Hot Club of Portugal

The Hot Club was established in 1948 when jazz fans began gathering regularly to share records and play music together. This informal group of collectors gradually developed into a structured school and performance venue.

The venue preserves Portugal's jazz history through its collection of vinyl records and documents from the early collector days. Many of the earliest jazz recordings played there came from the founding members' personal collections.
