Casa dos Círios

The house connects through sanctuary pathways to other structures including the main church and the Ermida da Memória chapel.

Construction began in 1715 as part of the sanctuary's expansion, following the establishment of the Nossa Senhora do Cabo brotherhood in 1432. The building demonstrates how religious organizations developed their facilities across several centuries.

The building serves as a gathering space for pilgrims who observe the Círios celebrations at particular times of year. It stands as a witness to traditions that local communities have maintained across generations.

The building's northern wall bears detailed stone inscriptions documenting Círio Saloio pilgrimages. These carved records tell the story of religious journeys undertaken across the centuries.
