Aimeliik

Aimeliik is an administrative region in western Babeldaob with five villages spread across varied terrain. The landscape includes rolling hills, mangrove forests, and coastal areas with bays.

Settlement in this region developed along the coast where fertile soil supported early communities. Ancient village sites like Medorm and Ngchemiangel remain as traces of past occupation.

Stone platforms in this region serve as gathering places for community meetings and ceremonies. These structures are woven into daily life and shape how the villages look and feel.

The five villages are connected by paved and unpaved roads that link to Koror. The territory is spread out, so expect longer travel times to move between different areas.

The region is home to Palau's largest power facility. It also contains historic farming terraces that once served both agricultural and defensive roles.
