Doha Convention Center Tower, Proposed tower in West Bay district, Doha, Qatar.
The Doha Convention Center Tower is a proposed high-rise in the West Bay district featuring 115 floors and a height of 570 meters. The structure combines office spaces, residences, a hotel, and conference facilities within a single integrated building.
The project began in October 2007 but encountered delays due to concerns about flight paths to the international airport. Aviation safety requirements led to revisions of the original design plans.
The tower symbolizes Qatar's ambition to establish itself as a global hub for business and conferences. Combining offices, residential units, and meeting spaces in one building reflects the modern needs of a developing city.
As a proposed project, the tower is not yet accessible to the public. Visitors can observe construction activity and urban development from surrounding areas in the West Bay district.
The design features a 60-meter-high glass cylinder at its crown intended to house a private club. This distinctive crown is supported by structural spirals that extend from the building's main facade.
