Museum of Islamic Art Park

The Museum of Islamic Art Park sits along the Corniche for about 7 kilometers, providing waterfront pathways and views toward West Bay. The space features walking and cycling routes, dining spots, children's play areas, and picnic zones all overlooking the Arabian Gulf.

The park was created on an artificial peninsula built alongside the Museum of Islamic Art, which opened to the public in 2008. Its development followed the museum's completion as part of Doha's broader waterfront expansion.

Richard Serra's towering steel sculpture '7' stands prominently in the park, serving as a modern art landmark that contrasts with the traditional Islamic architecture nearby. The work creates a visual anchor for visitors walking along the water's edge and signals how contemporary art functions in this public gathering space.

The park is easily walkable with clear pathways along the water that are simple to navigate on foot. Plan to visit during early morning or late afternoon when temperatures are more comfortable and the light is best for views.
