Al Quds Endowment Tower, Cancelled tower project in Doha, Qatar.
The Al Quds Endowment Tower was a planned skyscraper in Doha, Qatar, designed to rise 495 meters with 101 floors above ground. It was conceived as a mixed-use building combining office space, hotel rooms, and retail floors.
Foundation work began in 2009, but construction stopped in spring 2010 before the tower took any real shape above ground. The project was officially cancelled in August 2019, having remained dormant for nearly a decade.
This multipurpose development incorporated spaces for commercial activities and community engagement, reflecting Qatar's architectural evolution.
There is nothing to see on the site today, as the project never progressed beyond early groundwork. The empty plot sits in a residential area of Doha and can be viewed from the surrounding streets.
The Arab Engineering Bureau designed the tower, and at 495 meters it would have ranked among the tallest buildings in the region at the time. Despite actual groundwork having started, no trace of the project remains visible on the site today.
