Dusit Doha Hotel, Five-star hotel in West Bay, Qatar
The Dusit Doha Hotel is a hotel in the West Bay business district of Doha, Qatar, with around 260 rooms and suites that combine contemporary design with Thai influences. The tower stands in one of the city's densest commercial areas and houses restaurants, a spa, and event spaces.
The hotel opened in 2018 as the first property of Thai hospitality group Dusit International in Qatar, at a time when Doha was rapidly building up its West Bay skyline. It marked the group's first step into the Gulf market.
The hotel brings Thai hospitality traditions into a Gulf setting, which is visible in the decor of the restaurants and the spa. Thai patterns and handcrafted ornaments appear alongside local design motifs throughout the interiors.
The hotel is in West Bay, Doha's main business district, which is served by the city's metro network. Many offices, malls, and other hotels are within walking distance, making it easy to move around the area on foot.
The hotel runs a program where guests can see how food is grown in Qatar's desert climate using farming methods developed for the region's conditions. This is one of the few places in Doha where visitors can observe that process up close.
