St. Michael's Cathedral

The cathedral features two southern towers, a central spire, and stretches 83 meters in length with a width of 38 meters.

Construction of the initial cathedral started in 1009 under Stephen I of Hungary, followed by a second structure at the end of the 11th century.

The southern entrance doorway contains Romanesque decorations from the 13th century, including the Maiestas Domini motif reserved for bishops.

The cathedral opens from 9:00 to 17:00 between March and October, while winter visits from November to February require advance arrangements.

The Lászai Chapel, added in 1512, represents the first Renaissance architectural element in Transylvania, with reliefs of biblical figures and Hungarian kings.
