The Tamási Áron Theatre features a main performance hall and a chamber space where both classic plays and modern productions take place throughout the year.
Established in 1948 as the Hungarian State Theatre, the institution underwent several name changes before becoming the Tamási Áron Theatre in 1998.
The theatre merges visual elements from Romanian theatre traditions with Hungarian theatrical methods and German expressionist influences in its productions.
Located at Strada Libertății 1, the theatre offers tickets at 50 lei for premieres and 30 lei for regular performances, available from September onwards.
The venue initiated the International Theatre Festival REFLEX in 2009, presenting contemporary productions from various theatrical traditions.
