The prison complex contains multiple exhibition halls displaying documents, photographs, and personal belongings of former political prisoners across three floors.
Between 1950 and 1955, the prison housed numerous Romanian intellectuals, politicians, and religious leaders who opposed the communist regime.
The memorial includes a research center dedicated to studying totalitarian regimes and their impact on Eastern European societies.
The memorial museum opens daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with guided tours available in Romanian and English upon reservation.
The prison cells maintain their original configuration, allowing visitors to experience the confined spaces where political prisoners spent their final days.
