Noblemen's court in Râu de Mori, Hunedoara

The Noblemen's court is a manor house built in baroque style with asymmetrical design, consisting of several wings adorned with fine stone decorations on walls and windows. The layout shows different building phases that are clearly visible in the structure.

The court was owned by the Kendeffy family, who held significant power in Transylvania through political connections and land holdings during feudal times. The building structure preserves traces from multiple centuries, reflecting earlier constructions beneath its current form.

The court displays how Romanian nobility favored baroque forms and regional construction methods, visible in the facade details and window designs. Walking around the building, you can see directly how different periods left their marks on the architecture.

You can reach the monument via the main road through Râu de Mori village, with parking spaces available near the entrance. It is best to view the building from the outside and observe the various architectural details from different angles.

Beneath the current baroque facade lie original foundations from an earlier manor, revealing multiple layers of different construction methods. This layered structure shows how the building was repeatedly reshaped and expanded over the decades.
