Conacul Pană Filipescu, Noble mansion in Filipeștii de Târg, Romania

The mansion features traditional Romanian architecture with a high ground floor, thick meter-wide walls, and spacious cellars with wide doors.

Built in 1650 by Grand Chancellor Pană Filipescu, husband of Maria Cantacuzino, the mansion served as a connection between monarchy and boyar legislation.

The mansion contained the renowned library of Constantin Cantacuzino Stolnicul, who declined the Wallachian throne in favor of Constantin Brâncoveanu.

The mansion operates as a museum section of Prahova History and Archaeology Museum, displaying exhibitions of archaeological findings and cultural artifacts.

The building incorporated advanced features for its time, including a water heating system and running water with bathroom facilities in the 17th century.
