Conacul Pană Filipescu

Conacul Pană Filipescu is a mansion built in traditional Romanian style with a prominent ground floor and remarkably thick walls. The building contains spacious underground cellars with wide openings, designed for storage and various practical purposes.

The mansion was built in 1650 by Pană Filipescu, a high-ranking official whose wife Maria Cantacuzino came from an influential noble family. It was constructed during a period when such estates represented the ties between aristocratic families and state authority.
