Vlad Dracul House is a medieval stone building in the fortified citadel of Sighișoara, standing between Citadel Square and the Clock Tower. The ground floor features cylindrical stone vaults, while the upper floors now hold a small weapons museum and a restaurant.
The building dates to the Middle Ages and served as the home of Vlad Dracul, a ruler of Wallachia, during a period of Ottoman pressure on the region. His son, later known as Vlad the Impaler, was born here around 1431.
The ground floor runs as a traditional Romanian restaurant where visitors can eat local dishes in a medieval setting. Upstairs, a weapons display gives a concrete idea of what everyday defense and conflict looked like in this region.
