Built in 1883 for historian and prime minister Dimitrie Sturdza, the house underwent a substantial restoration process in 2003 by Serban Sturdza.
The building combines Neoclassical exterior elements with Renaissance interior details, including preserved ceiling decorations and arabesque-adorned double doors.
Located at 13-15 Arthur Verona Street in Bucharest, the structure now houses Carturesti Verona, a bookstore that received international recognition.
The central hall connects symmetrically arranged rooms, displaying original nineteenth-century architectural elements and decorative patterns throughout the interior spaces.
