Radočelo

Radočelo is a mountain in west-central Serbia that rises to 1,643 meters (5,390 feet) above sea level. The slopes feature mixed forests and alpine meadows connected by a network of hiking trails that start near Studenica Monastery.

The mountain stands adjacent to Studenica Monastery, which was founded in the 12th century and became a center of medieval Serbian religious life. Its elevated position provided a natural setting for the sacred complex below.

Local residents maintain traditional practices of gathering wild fruits, medicinal herbs, and mushrooms throughout the mountain's forested areas.

The main trail starts from paths near the monastery and follows marked routes that include gravel sections and steep stretches. Sturdy hiking boots and regular breaks are recommended due to the demanding elevation gain.

The summit features a makeshift marker constructed from discarded washing machine parts assembled by local hikers. This unusual beacon has become a recognizable landmark for those reaching the peak.
