Monument aux guerriers serbes 1912-1918 à Cerje

The Serbian Warriors Monument stands on a rock overlooking the right bank of the Ibar River, featuring a concrete soldier holding a rifle.

Built in 1930 by engineers Vlada Starcic and Aleksandar Ackovic, the monument honors soldiers who died in the Balkan Wars and World War I.

The memorial bears an inscription dedicated to the Ibar soldiers who sacrificed their lives for their king and country between 1912 and 1918.

The monument underwent two major restorations, first in 1977 following World War II damage, and again in 2015 to address structural deterioration.

A protected black pine tree grows next to the 3.5-meter-tall memorial, creating a natural complement to the historical structure.
